Anti Ragging Orientation Programme Report 2026
Anti- ragging report(Orientation Day )
The Anti ragging committee of Maratha Mandal’s Nathajirao G Halgekar Institute of Dental Sciences and Research Centre Belagavi conducted an Anti-ragging Orientation program on 11/02/2026 in the college auditorium. All the students from Ist BDS to IVth BDS, Interns and all the MDS students from Ist MDS-3rd MDS were present for the program. Dr Shiva Sharan Shetty, member, Dental Council of India from Mangalore addressed the gathering. Dr Shiva Sharan Shetty counselled all the students against the menace of ragging and to maintain a healthy interpersonal relation among students in Maratha Mandal’s the college campus and also explained about the various measures taken by the Dental council of India to safe guard and protect the students from ragging. All the Anti ragging committee members, Principal, Vice principal, Administrative incharge and HOD of all Departments were present for the program.

The Anti- ragging committee conducted a Sensitization program on 27/10/2025 in the college auditorium at Nathajirao G Halgekar Institute of Dental Science’s Belgavi for Fresher UG students along with their parents, for the academic year 2025-2026.
Dr Tushar Bandiwadekar, the Anti Ragging committee Incharge addressed the gathering, where the Fresher students were sensitized about the various measures taken by the Institute and the consequences that students would undergo if found guilty, all the students were asked to maintain a healthy interpersonal relation with the senior students in the college campus.
The Principal Dr Ramakanth Nayak, Vice Principal, Administrative Incharge and Academic Incharge all were present during this program.

Anti Ragging Report 2024
The Antiragging Day was observed on 12th August 2024 in the college campus. All the BDS, MDS students and the Interns were present for the Programme. On this day the students were made aware of zero tolerance shown by the Institute against ragging, a few short film videos’ from UGC web site on consequences of ragging was shown to the students in the auditorium. The students presented skit in the auditorium about the ill effects of ragging. The Vice principal, Academic In charge, Administrative Incharge and all the Anti ragging Committee members with squad committee were present.
