Dental Screening Camp at Jamagaon, Khanapur, Belagavi – 6th July 2026

Dental Screening Camp at Jamagaon, Khanapur, Belagavi

The Department of Public Health Dentistry, Maratha Mandal's Nathajirao G. Halgekar Institute of Dental Sciences and Research Centre, Belagavi, in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Belgaum, organized a Dental Screening Camp on 6th July 2026 at Jamagaon, Khanapur,Belagavi. A total of 51 individuals were screened for various oral health conditions. Comprehensive oral examinations were carried out. The beneficiaries included school children and members of the local community. Oral health education and oral hygiene instructions were provided to the participants, with emphasis on proper tooth- brushing techniques, maintenance of good oral hygiene, healthy dietary practices, and the importance of regular dental check-ups.

Celebration of National Doctors Day

To commemorate National Doctors’ Day, a dental screening camp was conducted by the department of Public Health Dentistry under the guidance of the management and Principal of Maratha Mandal’s Nathajirao G. Halgekar Institute of Dental Sciences and Research Centre, Belagavi for government high school at kadoli Belagavi on 1/7/2026. As part of the celebration, a drawing competition was organized on the theme “Doctors: Our Everyday Heroes.” Students enthusiastically showcased their creativity through drawings expressing gratitude and respect for the medical profession. A total of 140 students were screened. The programme aimed to create awareness about oral health, emphasize the importance of preventive dental care, and inspire students to appreciate the dedicated service of doctors.

Dental Treatment Camp & Oral Health Outreach Program

Further extending its community outreach activities, a Dental Treatment Camp was conducted on 8 June 2026 at Savgaon, Belagavi, organized by Lokamanya Foundation, Belagavi. During the camp, 35 patients were screened, and 12 patients received dental treatment. The camp focused on early diagnosis and timely treatment of oral diseases.

Dental Screening Camp & Preventive Oral Health Awareness Program

Another Dental Screening Camp was conducted on 6 June 2026 at Saraswati Government P.U. College, Shahpur, Belagavi. A total of 130 students were screened for oral health problems, and preventive oral health education was imparted to create awareness among adolescents.

Dental Screening Camp & Oral Health Awareness Program

A Dental Screening Camp was organized at Belgaum Public School, Belagavi, on 5 June 2026, where 140 school children underwent oral health examination. Students were educated about proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental check-ups.

World No Tobacco Day – Oral Health Screening & Awareness Program

On the occasion of World No Tobacco Day, an oral health screening and tobacco awareness program was conducted on 31 May 2026 at Sahara De-addiction and Re-habilitation Centre, Belagavi. A total of 50 nmates were screened for oral diseases, and health education was provided regarding the harmful effects of tobacco use and the importance of maintaining oral hygiene.

Dental Treatment Camp 22 May 2026 at Kaujalagi, Gokak Taluk, Belagavi,

A Dental Treatment Camp was conducted on 22 May 2026 at Kaujalagi, Gokak Taluk, Belagavi, organized by the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Karnataka. A total of 41 patients were screened, and 10 patients received dental treatment during the camp. The program aimed to improve access to oral healthcare services among rural populations.
