AI in Research

The Research and Ethical Committee, in association with the Central Research Laboratory (CRL) and DDE, successfully organized the program “AI in Research” on 15th November 2025 at the auditorium. The event highlighted the growing role of Artificial Intelligence in modern research, especially in healthcare and dentistry.

The program was graced by President Dr. Rajshree Nagaraju, Principal Dr. Ramakant Nayak, Guest Speaker Dr. I. N. R. Goudar, Principal of Siddhivinayak College of Pharmacy Prajakt Kakeri, CRL Director Dr. Prakash Diwan, Assistant Director Dr. Manohar, and IRB Committee In-charge Dr. Sheetal Sanikop.

Insightful sessions on “E-Information Sources for Research,” “Research Methodology,” and “AI Tools for Research in Health and Allied Science” provided valuable knowledge on AI-driven research methodologies and applications. The event concluded with a token of appreciation presented to Dr. I. N. R. Goudar for his valuable contribution.

PG Synopsis Presentation 2026.

The Research & Ethical Committee successfully conducted the Post Graduate Synopsis Presentation on 12th & 13th January 2026 at the college auditorium. The event commenced with a warm welcome address by Dr. Sheetal Sanikop, Professor and Research & Ethical Committee In-charge, who welcomed the Principal, Vice-Principal, Department HODs, committee members, and distinguished external ethical committee members.

The esteemed external members included Dr. Anjana Bagewadi, Chairperson, Professor, Oral Medicine & Radiology and Vice-Principal of KLE’s VK Institute of Dental Sciences & Research Centre, Belagavi; Mrs. Sarita Sabnis, Layman; Mr. Umesh Yaradal, Advocate, District Court, Belagavi; Mr. Vijay More, Social Worker, Belagavi; along with Biostatistician and In-charge HOD of Community Dentistry, Dr. Anand Hiremath, and CRL staff Dr. Manohar K.

On 12th January 2026, Ist MDS students from the Departments of Pedodontics and Periodontics presented their synopsis, while on 13th January 2026, presentations were delivered by the Departments of Orthodontics, Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics, and Prosthodontics. Valuable remarks and inputs shared by the committee members were carefully recorded and noted by the Research & Ethical Committee.
